Welcome to TiKi English. By accessing or using our website or mobile applications, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About TiKi English
TiKi English provides online English-language learning services, including AI conversation practice, pronunciation and writing feedback, IELTS preparation, school English lessons, learning challenges, and related educational features. These Terms apply to the TiKi English website and any TiKi English mobile applications that link to them.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use the service lawfully. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising a child's use where applicable. Do not share accounts or attempt to access another user's account.
3. AI-powered learning
AI-generated lessons, conversations, corrections, scores, translations, and feedback may contain errors or inappropriate interpretations. They are learning aids, not guarantees of proficiency, examination results, or professional advice. Review important information independently. You are responsible for the content you submit and should not provide sensitive personal information unnecessarily.
4. Microphone, recordings, and learning materials
Speaking, voice, and upload features may require microphone, camera, or file permissions. When you use them, the service may process audio, transcripts, writing, images, and learning progress to provide feedback and save lessons. Details about processing, retention, providers, and deletion are described in our Privacy Policy. You retain rights to materials you own and grant TiKi English a limited right to process them for providing and operating the service.
5. Acceptable use
You must not harass others, upload unlawful or infringing material, misuse teacher or community features, bypass access controls, scrape content at scale, distribute malware, or interfere with the platform. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or investigate abuse.
6. Plans, trials, and payment
Some learning features require a paid membership, course purchase, or activation code. The applicable price, currency, billing interval, included features, trial conditions, and any recurring charges are shown at checkout or in the applicable offer. Website payments may be processed by Stripe; purchases made through mobile app stores, if offered, are governed by the relevant store's checkout and billing rules. Trial access may expire or convert to a paid subscription only as disclosed when you enroll.
7. Renewals, cancellations, and refunds
If you purchase a recurring plan, it renews according to the terms presented at checkout until cancelled. Cancel using the applicable payment provider's subscription management method or contact support for assistance. Cancellation generally stops future renewals and does not automatically refund an already completed payment. Refund requests are evaluated under the purchase terms shown at checkout and applicable consumer protection laws; statutory rights are not limited by these Terms. App-store purchases may require refund requests through that store.
8. Teachers and third-party services
Teacher profiles, trial requests, and third-party links may be available. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific offer, arrangements and payments between learners and independent teachers are separate from TiKi English subscriptions. External services have their own terms and privacy practices.
9. Content and intellectual property
The TiKi English name, branding, software, course layouts, and original educational content are owned by TiKi English or its licensors. A valid account grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use available learning materials for educational purposes. You may not resell, reproduce, or redistribute paid lessons without permission. Third-party educational materials remain subject to their respective owners' rights.
10. Service availability and changes
We work to maintain the service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or that every feature will always remain unchanged. We may update, repair, replace, or discontinue features. Where legally required, we will give notice of material changes affecting paid services.
11. Account suspension and termination
You may stop using TiKi English and request account deletion according to our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations, fraud, security threats, or legal requirements, subject to applicable law. Ending an account does not automatically cancel a separately billed subscription; please cancel through the payment provider.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an as-available basis without guarantees of exam scores, fluency, employment, or educational outcomes. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer protections or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Privacy and personal information
Our Privacy Policy explains the personal information we process, including optional phone verification, speaking recordings, learning history, payment information, and requests for access or deletion. Please read it alongside these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version and effective date will be posted here. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.
